Simple and So Pretty

So sometimes I can't help it and I just have to make a page that is Simple and Girly and Pretty!
Flowers and Frilly paper just make me smile!
Using the pictures of all the girls in the family made for a perfect page for this paper!

I found these handmade crocheted flowers for a $1 - wow
they added the greatest texture to the layout

I have had this frame on my inspiration board for over a year!
It was just waiting for this page!

I just want to show you how you can mix and match different papers
and it doesn't have to be super elaborate to be a great page!
Adding black accents really makes the inked edges pop! It brings it all together!

Not too Girly Birthday Page

 Not too girly Birthday Page
As many of you know, pink is NOT Maddy's favorite color
so, I have to be creative with how I make her pages!
I absolutely loved using the grunge board wings and crown.
The black frame is a clear overlay that I have used so much
it is really versatile!

Mixing old and new products is a great way to add a more artistic feel to the page

Can you believe this is the first time I used a crown like this on a page! and I LOVE it!

and this paper ribbon adds just the greatest texture!

You can bling up a page with just  few crystal brads!!!

Hope you love is page as much as I do!!!

Lots of Love,

Seriously? This is as good as it gets!

So Sorry it's been soooo long since I've posted!!!
I have felt a bit uncreative lately! I know crazy right! but it does happen to me too.

I am still in love with mint and yellow! and have fun playing with these colors!
If my dog could speak, I think she would be saying
"Seriously? Yeah! This is as good as it gets!"

This is also a great way to use a large picture on a single page layout

The title, I made with white core cardstock, and ran it through a old school label maker!
Then sanded the surface to expose the white

It took me a long time to make this page, the colors were just never right. Until Mint and Yellow! The coloring I did to the photo just worked the best with these colors! I love it!
What do you think?

Mint and Yellow #1

This is the first installment of my "Mint & Yellow" seris
and
Oh Wow!!! I am soooo Loving this layout!!!
it just feels so happy when I look at it, very peaceful!
I wish you could see it in person, it is even better!
I just smile when I look at this....
what do you think?

I used foam pop up adhesive to make the letters stand out

This is my Favorite picture!
I altered the photos by fading them out
I first tried them in black and white, but it was just too harsh!
The faded look really helps keep the light and airy feel to the layout.

Painting this metal decorative brad white was a must!

I really do love how raising up the letters gives the page a great depth,
even though it's a little detail, it really pops!

I plan to show you more mint and yellow layouts,
but I have had a busy week and plan for another next week
Hope this one will keep you happy for a bit!
It's going to have to for me too!
I really want to play!!!

Hello Yellow

I am in Love
I am totally in love with Yellow.

I have been for a while,
but you know who loves yellow more than me?
 Mint that's who!yep aka "seafoam"
Oh yeah, when Mint was introduced to Yellow...
it was Love at first sight,
and they are perfect for each other!!!
But this is not your baby pastel colors we're talking about!
No, this romance can be Sophisticated, Bold, Fun and Flirty,
You just have to put the right Shades with it!

be Bold and add Black or Grey
You can soften it up with a lighter shade of grey too

So, what do you think?
I am going to show you some scrapbooking pages with these
wonderful colors.
ASAP

What they are not done Yet?
Nope! sorry, don't hate me.
I just wanted to give you a taste of what I'm working on!
and What inspires me!

So, tell me what you think do you love mint and yellow?
What combination of colors would you like to see?

First and Last Pages of my books...

I am a list person! If you are one too then you understand.
If you are not, then here's a quick run down of how it goes.
When I have a list I get things done.
I cross off the many tasks that need to be accomplished and Life is GOOD.
Without this list I get nothing done,
I twirl in little circles until I'm dizzy, or see something shiny!
I so love shiny things.   aahh.

Okay, so I needed a new scrapbook to do list (the other one ran away).
So, where to begin?
I knew I had a few things in some books that were not complete,
(yes I do that too) the I'll journal that later syndrome.
while looking through all these books (eleven). I noticed a bit of a trend.

I hardly ever make a first or last page of my book!   WHAT!  Yeah,
HI, My name is Ashley,
and I have a hard time making a first and last page of ANY scrapbook.
 There I said it.

NOW how to fix this problem. it starts with you guessed it, a LIST...
I made a list of all the pages I needed and the year

then I went through some pictures,
you know the ones you get large prints of and then never use them
or a few that I always wanted to make a page for
but for some reason was not inspired enough to do so.
and I listed those pics with the year.

See where I'm going here...

Yep, just matched them up and started scrappin'
Here are a few of my now finished First and Last pages...

what's so great about these pages is that you can usually make some good use of scraps! because you are only created a single page.

Sometimes, you didn't take very many pics and it's not enough for a two page layout
but, guess what it's perfect for a first or last...

again all I used were scraps on this page! WOW!

Okay, confession, this is a page I actually already had done, but I had to share with you!
It really shows how you could use random pics to create a page!!!
I added some of the things I like or what I was doing at the time into little strips of paper attached with brads
It is a great way to fill up a page when you only have a few pics!

I just loved this one of me, but it was so small and it was just a stray picture someone took
perfect for this page!

maybe this will inspire you to make a list and finish some unfinished pages!  Or at least give you an few good ideas for how you can make First and Last pages of your Scrapbook!

Lots of Love,
