More Decorated Letters

I wanted to share a few more ideas with you.
There are endless ways to decorate the letters, and they aren't just for kids either.
My friend Leah made some with a last name, and one that said "LOVE".
I put her picks in here too.  and my first set, "MADISON"
Don't worry Logan, your letters are next.
I will post those when I get them done just a little hint, he loves legos...

not my Logan he loves legos and star wars ...

Hope you enjoy these, and a few more word ideas "EAT" in the kitchen, "Faith", "Family"
I have even made just the initials and then put a hook on them!

Lots of Love,

Can I buy a vowel? (wooded letters)

Wow, so okay, have you ever just come up blank for a gift idea? I mean I have a bazillion ideas running around in my head, but when it comes to my awesome sister in law, I always just get brain freeze!!!
She is a great person and so fun, and maybe I just want to things to be perfect! I always stress about if the person is going to love the gifts I make for them!!! So, I just asked her what she wanted for her babies, YES I said BABIES plural!!! Yep another set of twins in the Family. I am oooh sooo excited! So, baby shower a few days away and she was so excited to tell me she wanted decorated letters!!! I swear I could see her jump up and down over the phone (ha ha)! Love you Jen! I found my saw under all the mess in the garage and set out to cut out the letters.  Yep I cut the wood out myself :)  So, two sets of names and several days later and a trip to micheal's (I had NOOOO purple flowers). and here they are...

When I got home the purple was the wrong color, so I used acrylic paint for paper (less water content) and just painted them the right shade of purple, the hardest part was waiting for the paint to dry before decorated the rest. I am kinda impatient.

the frames with words in them are actually paper pockets, so that she could add pictures, but if she doesn't have time to do that, I don't know why she wouldn't ya know with twins and all, they won't be blank.

Something has to be Done...

Well, life with out the castle is really relaxing, and I have all this time on my hands
to read books, sit around the house and dream of what I want it to look like.
I've been spending time with my grandma "Maw Dee"
(which I totally love by the way!).
I go to the coffee shop....  WAITTTT
what happened to all the scrapbooking and projects I was planning on doing,
cleaning out the basement, and um well even keeping the house clean,
oh yea and I should probably get some laundry done tooo.
So it is time for a new CHORE CHART yeahhhh.

I seem to be lost without a list and
sometimes writing the same things over and over just gets old
(that's the creative brain thing)
So, I made this chart for the everyday things that I should be doing
and decided to get the whole family in on it tooo,
(that way I don't have to yell and scream  ask anyone to take the trash out)
I got the frame at k-mart. It has plastic instead of a glass.
(glass would work too, but for the kids and weight I went with the plastic)
Then you can just use a dry erase marker to cross off the chore! How awesome is that?
It only takes a little bit of math to get the size of the squares just right.
I left off Sunday so that I could fit everything on evenly, plus a day of rest is always good
I forgot to leave room for the names so I added them down the side of the first day,
it actually worked great, happy accidents ya know.
just type up the chores and leave room to cut them apart.
I used the paper that came with the frame and just glued the layers onto it.
remember there is about 1/4 inch edge that gets covered up by the frame.
Maybe now I will get something done...(ha hah maybe)

What the heck is wrong with PINK anyway?!!

NO MORE PINK!  What? !
I can't believe I heard those words. My heart sank the day my daughter said that.
I love pink. I mean, I am from the days of Pretty in Pink
And Mr. Mellencamp's dream of "little pink houses for you and me"
Come ON Really. Yes, I am drawn to the color, it makes me happy, if I could
I would have pink everywhere!
But Not Madison and most other young teens right now.
I have noticed a trend lately, so many of them HATE pink. ---I am so sad.---
I don't really understand it, but I love her always,
and want to portray her correctly in every aspect of her scrapbook.
So, I have set all my pretty pink paper aside (to save for my pages)
and will make girly pages without pink, JUST FOR HER.
Here is a great one to start it off.  What do you think?

I just love these felt flowers!!! and I have been waiting forever to use this ribbon.
The colors really set off the rest of the blues in this page.
I mixed and matched lots of leftover flat stickers and rub-ons to creat the title.
I put them onto a piece of cardstock, because I did not know where I wanted to put the title when I started.
Doing this lets me place the pieces all over until I decide where I like it.
plus, it give just one more layer.

Hope you like it!!!

Happy Days

These were just a few random pictures Logan and I took of ourselves! He is just so much fun!
One great way to put a little twist to a page and add more interest is to set everything at a slight angle.
This works great with just a few pics, or if you can crop them down, more will look great too.

Hope to get on a posting schedule, I have lots of ideas in the works.... make it Mondays, Here's what I'm working on Wednesdays, finally finished Fridays! That one sounds fun doesn't it?

A Few Good Pages

So, here's what I've been up to lately, Hopefully this will give you some good ideas and inspiration...

I love mixing different chipboard letters and painting or inking them to match the page.
it's a great way to use all those leftovers.

making a booklet on the page is a great way to add lots more pics without messing up the layout.

I will be making some page kits soon...
